Project Title: Community Violence Reduction (CVR) through Youth Empowerment

Background and Objectives: To cultivate a more peaceful and prosperous Tambura County, the Star Trust Organization (STO), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), launched the Community Violence Reduction (CVR) through Youth Empowerment project. Running from August to October 2022, this initiative aimed to promote peace and cultural co-existence among communities in Tambura by enhancing the livelihoods and incomes of local youths.
Recognising the crucial role of young people in fostering community stability, the project centred on empowering up to 354 youths. It sought to equip them with the necessary skills and resources to become active change agents in their communities.
